Above all drinks produced in our country, the most famous is produced in the Tequila Region, an antique and dynamic town, located at northeast of Guadalajara, Jalisco. Tequila is a spirituous beverage obtained from the distillation of blue agave tequilana weber. Tequila can be clasified as follows:

· Silver or White: silver tequila does not have to be aged and is bottled directly after the distillation
· Gold: it is a sweet tequila flavored and colored with natural caramel
· Aged or Rested: it is the result of storing tequila in white oak barrels for several months
· Extra Aged: it is aged for more than a year in white oak barrels, its color is darker
Denomination of Origin
This means that in the same way that, under international agreement, only cognac produced in the French region of
Cognac can bear the name of cognac, just can be called "Tequila" only the tequila produced in Jalisco, and some small regions of our country.
Tequila Express
An interesting one day trip, is the named TEQUILA EXPRESS, a train trip to Tequila town, the place who has
given the name to the Tequila.
The tour includes tequila tasting, Mexican food bufett, a visit to a Tequila's museum, and also a tour to know the whole process of tequila making, from the field, the cut,(Jima) through destillation, oak barrels where tequila is aged, and of course, a mexican party with mariachi music.
